Description
Experimental Software Engineering (ESE) is a key sub-domain of Software Engineering focusing on case studies, controlled experiments and statistical analyses. The objective of this project is to introduce the nutshell of Experimental Software Engineering to the school of Computer Engineering of University of Malaga via a short-term but intensive course. This kind of courses is rarely taught in the university. The project plans to conduct short-term (five days) hands-on course on ESE at the University of Málaga (UMA), focusing on Model-based technologies (MBT), and following the success of a previous similar course. Project promoter, University of Málaga, is an expert on Model-based technologies, and donor partner, Simula, is an expert on Experimental Software Engineering. The expected results include more than 50 graduate students trained at University of Málaga on ESE and MBT; two controlled experiment conducted; one or two scientific papers jointly published.
