Description

The project aims to contribute to enhancing the careers of young female researchers and it is carried out in the partnership of four major Estonian universities, led by Tallinn University. The measures will be implemented in Tallinn University. The project will support Universities as large employers in Estonia to fulfill their legal obligation to follow and promote the principles of equal treatment, and it should therefore be of interest to the Universities involved (and other higher education institutions in Estonia) to continue developing solutions proposed by the project.

Summary of project results

The project contributed to enhancing the careers of young female researchers and it is carried out in the partnership of four major Estonian universities, led by Tallinn University. The project supported universities as large employers in Estonia to fulfill their legal obligation to follow and promotee the principles of equal treatment. An network by universities involved was created and the practices in human resource field were analysed as well as intervention practices implemented in other countries for young female scientists (Norway, Sweden, Denmark, USA, UK; Australia). A pilot intervention was executed at Tallinn University.
