Description

Public transport systems have potential for high quality and resource effective services as today’s ticket sales work within separate systems for public transportation (buses, trains, trams, trolleys, metros, taxis). The project aims to create a resource planning software for ticket sales and route management in public transport. Platform is for all public transport companies to conduct ticket sales, easy-to-use environment for the end-user provides access to all of the travelling options within the public transport system. This project, supported under the small grant scheme, will aim to further elaborate the project idea with the aim of preparing the project application for the main open call under the Green Industry Innovation programme. The future aim is to test the software during its technical development and make sure that the end result is applicable to both the Estonian and Norwegian transportation systems.

Summary of project results

The aim of the small grant scheme project was to reach a conclusion whether or not the project idea has a potential to implement in the open call, and to analyze the possibility, necessity, feasibility and viability of the Public Ticket project idea in further steps of application. The main goal was achieved as it resulted with the completion of competition and market research, product specification was described, also the business plan and environmental impact analysis were compiled. Project promoter has achieved the small grant scheme goals, which resulted with the open call project in the first open call.
