Description
In the partnership of Praxis and NENO, we have created four reports that include strategic planning tools and recommendations for non-profits, which can be used for analysing the external and internal factors and take action. The knowledge that was collected in the reports is now put into further use. The project partners will deliver 4 training sessions and consultancy to approximately 60 participants from Estonian voluntary sector, mainly participants from CSOs who has not previously taken part in the participatory development process of the reports. Training participants will have an opportunity for personal advice on their strategic planning. The objectives of training and advisory activites is to support Estonian NGOs in order to alleviate risks and use opportunities with the help of strategic analysis of external environment; use appropriate tools to adjust the organization to the trends in the environment; and engage with new stakeholders and target groups to achieve better results and create social value.
Summary of project results
The objective and outcome of the project was to provide training sessions and consulting for civil society organizations, how to develop their strategic directions and adapt to macro-trends. The focus was on four main themes: diversifying the funding, engaging the socially excluded minorities, different cooperation forms between the CSOs and the influence of the information society. This project was one phase of a seires of initatives in third sector foresight. Beneficiaries were involved by participating in the needs assessment survey to identify their priorities in adaptation to trends. The main result of the project is that CSOs who have not previously been engaged in similar foresight activities and training sessions, have now knowledge and practical skills in analysing their organisation’s strategy and activities in the light of macro-trends that influence civil sector and be able to better adapt these to the future circumstances and thus, increasing their impact.
