Description
The aim of the project is to extend the network of Child Advocacy Chamber and to reach out to smaller local associations, service providers, experienced experts and specialists across Estonia. Specific objectives of the project are to increase the number of members; to build advocacy capacity of its members (training activities, exchange of experience, etc.); to develop marketing and communication capacity of network. Advocacy activities of CAC network have been divided into three large strategic directions – quality of alternative care; early intevention and prevention; and valuing of family and relations. Second goal of the project is to promote international co-operation. In 2013 CAC became a member of the Eurochild, which is a network of active organisations and individuals who are working in and across Europe to improve the quality of life of children and young people. During course of the project training session for membership organisations are carried out; monthly web-based information letter will be released, which reflects membership acitvities, Eurochild news and current issues; members' meetings will organised and international cooperation with Eurochild network will be developed.
Summary of project results
The goal of the project was to expand the network of Child Advocacy Chamber and increase their membership in order to be more effective and influential advocate of children's rights. For that purpose the project sought to engage new members, increase the capacity of existing members, and raise awareness about the network, mainly through web-based solutions, and to improve information flow. As a result of the project seven new member organisations joined the network. Participation in the European network Eurochild and cooperation with Latvian and Lithuanian network partners increased the capacity of its current members. With the project support, the website
www.huvikaitse.ee was improved, including of visual identity as well as a web-based information letter for Chamber's members and partners was launched. During the project period 150 new followers were added to the social media channels.
