Description

The goal of the project is to raise the sales capability of 4 social enterprises that sell their products to earn money for fulfilling their social aims. For this the development program “Raising sales” will be implemented. Estonian Social Enterprise Network has a good experience with development programs that help social enterprises to new capability level. So far the focus has been on the service provides and the programs have been concentrated in the Northern Estonia. In this project the focus will be on the producers in the Southern Estonia. The program is based on the real needs of the social enterprises that expressed an urgency to earn more resources in order to raise their social impact. Helping 4 similar organizations raise their capability in the same field is a more cost effective approach and also has a capability raising effect on the Estonian Social Enterprise Network due to external experts involved in the project.

Summary of project results

The goal of the project was to raise the sales capability of 4 social enterprises that sell their products to earn money for fulfilling their social aims. For this the development program “Raising sales” was implemented. Estonian Social Enterprise Network had a previous good experience with development programs that help social enterprises to new capability level. In this project the focus was on the producers in the Southern Estonia. Helping 4 similar organizations raise their capability in the same field is a more cost effective approach and also had a capability raising effect on the Estonian Social Enterprise Network due to external experts involved in the project (product desinger, marketing specialist and export consultant). The project was a success based on the initial feedback of the participants, who gained new knowledge about sales, marketing and export opportunities. They compiled and started implemeting marketing plans and already reported some initial gain in revenue by the end of the project.
