Description

This project is needed to improve financial situation for NGO We Are Together. The aim of the project is to get new knowledge and skills for professional development; to improve financial situation of the NGO; and to enlarge the NGO’s services through professional development. The main activities of the project are personnel training, diagnostic and correctional work with teachers, and making a memo for tearchers. The expected outcomes are improvement of the NGO's financial situation, increased skills of the NGO personnel, and diversified services of the NGO. The beneficiaries are teachers from Narva school No. 6, Narva House of Children’s Creativity and kindergartens.

Summary of project results

Project's goal - to help school and kinder garden teachers in preventing professional burnout - was achieved via elaborated and tested trainings (for app. 100 teachers) and preparing information leaflets. The NGO's priorities are psychological and professional support of teachers, children and parents.NGO acts in Ida-Viru county, where russian-speakers forms about 80% of the population. Also the main target group of the project was russian-speaking teachers. Project activities were started with a training on professional burnout for the NGO's specialists (trainers training). In further programme for teachers there were 116 participants selected and 10 groups were composed. Alltogether there were 30 lessons conducted. As a result, teachers have got theoretical knowledge and practical skills for combating stress and preventing burnout in professional life. Participants' feedback on the programme and on their needs has given to the project promoter new topics to deal in the future; for example one of mentioned problems is computer addiction in children.
