Description

The aim of the project is to increase the capacity of NGO Loometaru through involving young volunteers who would help to develop artistic talents of people with disabilities. The project has two target groups: the young people who have an active interest in arts and who are willing to develop their social skills working with children and adolescents with disabilities; and children and adolescents with disabilities whose quality of life will improve. The main activities of the project are organising training courses for prospective volunteers, creating a supportive and motivating network for developing volunteers’ theoretical knowledge and practical skills, promoting NGO Loometaru (brochures, flyers, updating the website etc.).

Summary of project results

The project's aim of better involvement of children and young people with special needs into the artistic craft activities was reached via several activities: 18 volunteers for work with target group - people with special needs - have been trained; supportive network has been expanded; NGO's web-site has been updated and leaflets published; exhibitions and camp for target group were organised. All planned project activities have been accomplished and as a result, the sustainability of the NGO and visibility of its work have definitly incresed.
