Description
The objective of the project is to improve the operational capacity of NGO Ray of Light, which will be achieved via engagement, training and cooperation. The main target groups of the project are the present and the future members of NGO Ray of Light, and volunteers and representatives of similar associations across Estonia. Within the project, motivation and teamwork trainings will be carried out in order to improve the quality of life of visually impaired people. In addition, common seminars with similar associations will be held in order to create and develop cooperation. As a result of the project the NGO Ray of Light will be a more capable and publicly visible association, and due to its motivated members and created cooperation network it will have a remarkably larger impact on improving the quality of life and active attitude of the visually impaired/blind.
Summary of project results
The main goal of the project - an increasing of operational capacity of the organisation - was achieved via engagement, training and cooperation. The project’s beneficiaries were members of NGO Ray of Light, volunteers and representatives of the associations engaged in the project all over Estonia; alltogether 125 persons. Within the project various training sessions in order to increase the self-improvement of the visually impaired and joint seminars with associations in the field in order to start and develop cooperation were held. There were 5 joint educational activities (incl. opening seminar, 2 training sessions, round trip in North-Estonia), 5 workshops for visually impaired people. Cooperation has been initiated with 5 new organisations. Ideas for 2 cooperation projects have been designed. As a result of the project the visibility of activities of the NGO has been improved - during project period there were 659 readers on organisations's FB.
