Description
The project’s purpose is firstly to enable the applicant shadowing university courses in order to learn new teaching methods and to discuss his research with the students. The second important purpose is the presentation of the applicant's research on Ibsen in workshops and to enable his further research at the Centre for Ibsen Studies at the University of Oslo. In 2010 the applicant defended his PhD thesis on Henrik Ibsen and Hugo von Hofmannsthal (named ‘The Conception of Art and the Problems and Issues of the Artist in Works by Hugo von Hofmannsthal and Henrik Ibsen’). Results of this research will be presented in workshops during the stay in Oslo as partly in university courses conducted by University of Oslo. Also, the applicant would like to extend his previous research on Ibsen by studying the author’s attitude to ethical and aesthetic values, especially Ibsen's assessment of Platonic ideas, Neo-Platonism, and Romanticism.
