Description
During a two-week stay in Olso, the applicant, who is educated in Cultural Studies and currently teaches transcultural communication, will “work shadow” one of the most influential European social anthropologists, Prof. T. H. Eriksen, especially his research for the ERC project OVERHEATING focusing on the mutual influence of social (cultural), economic and environmental changes in today´s world. The purpose of the visit is to establish future collaboration, introduce a Czech junior scientist to the working environment of a prestigious international research team, and discuss in advance a lecture by Prof. Eriksen to be delivered at a scientific conference in March in Hradec Kralove. In addition to the experience gained and increased networking opportunities for the applicant, a draft of a scientific article to be presented at the aforementioned conference and later published in a peer-reviewed journal or collective monograph will be prepared during the stay.

A fruitful cooperation was started between the host and home institution, more concretely in research activities of prof. Eriksen from University of Oslo and dr. Sokolíčková from University of Hradec Králové.
