Description

The preservation of the diversity of the landscape is one of the basic conditions for ensuring sustainable development. This is stated in fundamental strategic documents and plans at the regional, national and international level. One of the pillars of this area is high quality education and training, because without sufficient public awareness of the landscape's importance, its needs and useful tools, it is very difficult to ensure that all necessary steps are taken. The aim of the project is a harmonic combination of protection and use of natural resources and encouraging the general public to respect all functions of forest ecosystems. The project will extend public awareness in the area of biodiversity and instruments and conditions for its use, which will fulfill the objectives of basic strategic documents in this area. Expected outcomes of the project include improved awareness of the target groups in the area of biodiversity and high-standard educational programmes to be used further by project centers. Project outputs will include newly prepared and implemented programmes in the environmental education of children and students. The project has no donor partner.
