Summary of project results

The project was focused on easing the rehabilitation of prisoners by providing training which would find application after they are set free. The training programs have been specifically adapted so as to address the needs of the target group. The topics included skills on how to mediate in complicated social environment, orientation and situation at the labor market, basic computer and ICT skills. The Project Promoter requested an extension of about 3 months motivated by some savings and proposed spending it on another professional training due to a declared interest among prison inmates. Thus a training on construction work was added. The training programs were applied by the Project Promoter in the Central prison in Sofia and in the attached prison hostel in Kazitchene. The number of involved trainees exceeded 100.
