Valiyan Ltd. is a manufacturer and designer of interior furniture, wood processing and carpentry services. The project will introduce waste-free production by waste utilization technologies and manufacturing of briquettes for its own heating needs. High productivity as a result of technological modernization will lead to increased manufacturing capacity, increased production volumes, enhanced product portfolio, reduced product cost, and improved overall operational efficiency. The project envisages preserving and opening 4 new workplaces as a direct result of the implemented activities. With the new energy-efficient technologies energy saving of 20% will be achieved. The total decrease of the quantity of CO2 emissions is 10% per year. The specific results of the project are: introduction of new machines with innovative technology (4 pcs.); implementation of specialized type of software design system for furniture manufacturing with the capacity to control the production process; expansion of export-oriented production, production costs will be reduced by 15%; production capacity will increase by 30%; 5 new products will be introduced.
Summary of project results
The project contributed to the dynamic growth of production capacity and diversification of production items, thus satisfying customer demands for various and high-quality products with environmental and energy saving effect. In this regard, the organization introduced waste-free production by waste utilization technologies and manufacturing of briquettes for its own heating needs. This contributed to the company's better positioning in the European market. The project resulted in enhanced productivity, reduced costs and total manufacturing expenses, increased share of innovative products with increased demand. It also led to increased manufacturing capacity of the company, sales revenue, exported products, better working conditions in the factory and higher qualification of the personnel. Under the project the company delivered 8 new modern high-tech and environmentally friendly machines which increase the effectiveness of the manufacturing process. The production capacity was increased by 20% which allows the implementation of serial orders of high complexity. The production costs were decreased with 25% and the energy consumption per production unit is reduced by 30%. The CO2 emissions were decreased by 15 % (1023 tons per year). The waste reduction is 420 tons per year and the energy savings are expected to be 6 600 MW. As a result of the implementation of the project the company fulfilled the requirements of EN ISO 14001:201 (Environmental management system) and BS OHSAS 18001:2007 (Occupational Health and Safety Management system) and was certified at the end of 2016. In addition the organization fulfilled the requirements of EN ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management system) and was also certified at the end of 2016. The project contributed to the growth of employment of the company. After the completion, a total of 15 workplaces were opened. The annual turnover of the company for 2016 was double compared to 2015, which is a direct result of the modernization and increased production capacity of the company.
