Summary of project results

The project addressed Betel Bulgaria's limited capacity for partnership, international exchange and training. It enabled the organisation to have access to the partnership networks of Betel International Spain and ensured the financial opportunities for mutual exchange of volunteers and know-how techniques for work with users of social services. The participation in the network helped improve the strategic planning of the Bulgarian organization and the efficiency of its work with the target groups. The updated website of Betel Bulgaria and the English version of the website helped expand the network of contacts and improve the access of the target groups to the organization’s work. The majority of project activities were targeted at supporting the new protected shelter of Betel currently built which will provide access to more people in need to the social services provided by the organization. Owing to the financial support under the Programme and the visible participation of Betel Bulgaria in the network activities, Betel Association in Spain provided complementary financing for the new shelter. The project outputs include an updated website of the organization, an English version, promotion and information materials prepared and a presentation from the visit to Spain.
