Summary of project results

Multicultural Aspects of Humanity is a project focused on topical public issues related to discrimination, hate speech, social intolerance, etc. The project promoted multicultural dialogue between various ethnic communities in Bulgaria through the filming of the daily life, culture and customs of various ethnic groups in the country and the organization of photo exhibitions in 13 municipalities. Thus the project managed to provoke stereotypical public attitudes to various minority groups in Bulgaria and reach a large number of people, both from people small villages and the cosmopolitan citizens of large cities (including areas predominantly populated by ethnic minorities). The project focused on the positive but forgotten feature of the Bulgarians’ mindset, namely tolerance and support for the people in need. At the end of the project a photo exhibition was also held in the National Assembly as well.
