Summary of project results

The project addressed the need of the project promoter to boost its capacity and its organizational sustainability. The project contributed for the good start of the newly set up Minerva Centre Foundation by developing plans for good governance, visibility and publicity, internal monitoring and financial regulation. In addition, the training of the foundation team under the Consultants in European Project Management Programme with the American University in Bulgaria helped the team acquire knowledge and practical skills for successful management of projects financed by the various financial tools of the EU, i.e. the Structural Funds, the Cohesion Fund and Community Programmes. The project boosted the capacity of the Foundation for good governance, visibility and publicity of its initiatives. The training of the team in basic legal competence and human rights improved the quality of psychological services provided by the Foundation at Minerva Centre within its structure. The website developed (centerminerva.com) and the printed information materials helped promote the Foundation’s mission and activities. The round tables helped establish contacts with the state institutions and NGOs working with disadvantaged people. This is important with regard to the efficient provision of assistance and support and this is related to the attempts to set up a network of related organizations to work together for the use of good and effective practices. The project results enabled the Foundation to develop in a stable and sustainable way as a non-profit NGO.
