Summary of project results

The project addressed the difficulties faced by the applicant, Club NGO, related to its membership, organizational and expert capacity. The project achieved its main goal as seen from the following outcomes: the updated membership list of the Club, the new internal documents of the organization, the changed management structure and the introduction of the position of Executive Director, the expanded staff, the joining of 16 experienced professionals as voluntary experts with the Club and the increased capacity of the members. The target group of 25 NGOs – members of the Club was given a strong impetus and motivation to get actively involved, improve the condition of their organization, develop and implement projects aimed at their particular goals. The project proved the need for more frequent communication among the people from the third sector – 95% in their capacity as volunteers. The moral reward, recognition and popularity conferred on the nominated and awarded NGOs during the Annual Meeting were a sign of recognition and appreciation of their work. The support for the newly set up organizations boosted their activity. The participants in the training sessions acquired new knowledge, new contacts, greater motivation and confidence in the course of action. The active use of Facebook helped promote the NGO work. Many of the messages, pieces of information and photos posted on the Club’s website were shared by other pages and groups. Often the information was posted in local and regional websites. The media such as Shumen Radio, Focus Radio, Targovishte News daily contacted the Club for more information about the activities.
