Third, the participants will enhance their skills in a 10-month specialized course. Next, the participants will take part in psychological counseling sessions to help their social integration through self-help and solidarity. Young people and children with hearing impairments are the group that is challenged to adapt in the current conditions of employment and social and professional development. Young people are thus deprived of the opportunity to achieve professional development. The project was targeted at 50 young people and children with hearing impairments and coming from socially disadvantaged families from Varna Municipality. The project implementation ensured to a great extent the support and dissemination of self-help and solidarity mechanisms among the representatives of the target groups. The young people involved mastered the craft that they can develop professionally and integrate through it. All participants studied the arts and crafts and expanded the circle of people they communicate with. Artefacts were created and 4 exhibitions of the participants were organized. Artefacts created under the project were also displayed at craft exhibitions. The participants demonstrated their skills in felting and woodworking and attracted young people and people willing to try their hand in the craft. The felting and woodworking workshops will continue working after the project end. Each of the participants had an individual portfolio to demonstrate the mastered skills. Owing to the psychotherapeutic sessions with the participants the project help achieve progress with regard to the integration of children and young people with hearing impairments in the society and overcome discrimination and intolerance towards people with disabilities, educate the participants in solidarity and respect for the rights of people with different disabilities.
