Description
The purpose of the Project is to provide additional waste water treatment capacity and sewer network extension for the villages of Moszczenica and Staszkowka, with the overall objective to improve public health, surface and ground water ecology. Reference is made to the application dated 8 January 2007 and any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: 1.Sewer network construction: including 20,501 meters of gravity collectors, 4,700 meters of house connection 2.Waste Water Treatment Plant (WWTP) replacement and extension, including: • Refurbishment of existing 70 m3/day to a 290 m3/day Rotating Biological Contactor facility • Refurbishment of inlet screen and grit removal equipment • Refurbishment of septic waste reception facility • Establishment of mechanical dewatering facility. 3. Project management and publicity The Project Promoter is the Moszczenica Commune. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Project Promoter provides at least 41.58 percent of the total estimated eligible Project cost.
