Description
The purpose of the Project is to provide Sobotka Municipality with piped sewer services and ensure treatment of all collected wastewater in accordance with Polish National and EC requirements, with the overall objective to improve public health, surface and ground water ecology. Reference is made to the application, dated 5 September 2006, and responses from the Focal Point dated 29 January 2007 and 28 February 2007 to requests for additional information. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - rehabilitation of existing wastewater treatment plant (WWTP) and expansion of treatment capacity from currently 1,000 m3/day to minimum 2,000 m3/day; - construction of 7,487 m of sewer lines. The Project Promoter is the Municipality of Sobótka. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Project Promoter provides at least 21.84 percent of the estimated eligible Project cost.
