Description
The purpose of the project is to improve the mobility and efficiency of mobile customs control groups, with the overall objective of strengthening the safety level and security system in the Schengen area by increasing the effectiveness of crime detection at the borders. Reference is made to the application dated 6 July 2006 and further correspondence on 16 October 2006. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - Preparation of the tender documents and technical requirements for the procurement; announcement and implementation of the tender; selection and qualitative control arrangements of the purchase; conclusion of the contract with supplier and implementation of the contract and putting the equipment into operation. - Equipping mobile groups in the Polish Customs Service with 4 mobile x-ray scanners for trucks/containers. The project promoter is the Ministry of Finance (Customs Service). The Ministry of Finance (Customs Service) shall provide at least 15 percent of the estimated eligible project cost.
