Description
The purpose of the Fund is to provide grants to research projects and to intensify research cooperation between the EEA EFTA States and Latvia within the priority areas, with the overall objective of contributing to human resources development, education and research by facilitation of mobility, expansion of the knowledge base and promotion of cooperation and partnership between Latvia and the EEA EFTA States. Reference is made to the application, dated 20 February 2007, and subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point dated 9 July 2007, 16 July 2007 and 26 July 2007. The completed Fund shall include the following activities and results: - Fund management; - Re-granting to end recipients (two open calls). The Intermediary is the State Education Development Agency. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Intermediary provides at least 15 percent of the estimated eligible costs of the Fund from governmental budget allocations.
