Description
The purpose of the Fund is to encourage local and regional institutions to gain new knowledge and to improve skills in fields of their responsibilities with the overall objective to contribute to the development of the regional policy and the reduction of social and economic disparities in Lithuania through the strengthening of regional and local authorities and their institutions' administrative and public capacities. Reference is made to the application dated 6 August 2007 and subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point dated 14 September 2007. The completed Fund shall consist of the following activities: - Fund management including publicity; and - Re-granting to end-recipients. The Intermediary is the Ministry of Interior of the Republic of Lithuania. The Focal Point shall ensure that the State budget of Lithuania provides at least 15 percent of the estimated eligible costs of the Fund.
