Description

The purpose of the Project is to restore the Kelme estate barn and to adjust the museum facilities for touristic, cultural and educational purposes, with the overall objective of ensuring that the Kelme barn functions as an integrated part of the Kelme Estate, preserving Lithuanian cultural and architectual heritage and stimulizing the socio-economic development in the region. Reference is made to the application dated 1 August 2007and to any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - Construction works, upgrading of the site, installation of infrastructure, supervision; - Adjustment of the barn to museum purposes, educational and cultural activities; - Purchase of equipment - Public procurement for construction works; - Project management and publicity - Project audit. The Project Promoter is the Kelme Region Municipality Administration. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Lithuanian Government provides at least 21 percent of the estimated eligible Project costs.
