Description

The purpose of the Project is to strengthen the health consciousness and prevention of heart and vascular diseases due to obesity and prevention of malignant tumours, with the overall objective of improving the quality of life of the inhabitants in Zalaegerszeg city and its region. Reference is made to the application dated 29 September 2006 and any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - project management, - organising prevention and healthy lifestyle programs for different target groups, (programme for obese children, Porci Berci programme, dental hygienic programme, exercise programme, healthy diet programme and prevention of malignant tumour programme), - preparing a health plan to use as a tool to improve the quality of life and living conditions of the communities in the region, and - publicity, including dissemination of the results. The Project Promoter is the Zalaegerszeg és Térsége Többcélú Kistérségi Társulás (The Multipurpose Association of Local Governments of Zalaegerszeg City and its Region). The Focal Point shall ensure that the Project Promoter provides at least 15 percent of the estimated eligible Project costs.
