Description
The purpose of the Project is the extension of flood protection in the Region of South Bohemia by an effective monitoring of the water management system, with the overall objective of risk mitigation of extraordinary floods in the region. Reference is made to the application dated 25 February 2008, and to any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - preparation and evaluation of geophysical measurements for monitoring issues, to be stored in a database; - preparation of a long-term monitoring system and - tendering, project management and publicity activities. The Project Promoter is Jihoceský kraj (Region of South Bohemia). Subject to national law, the Project shall be implemented in partnership with Povodi Vltavy, státní podnik (Vltava Basin Agency, state enterprise). The Focal Point shall ensure that the Project Promoter provides at least 15 percent of the estimated eligible Project cost.
