Description

The purpose of the Project is to improve the description of PM10 particles in the air, with the overall objective of reducing the air pollution load caused by particles in the Czech Republic. Reference is made to the application dated 12 August 2005, and additional information from the Focal Point dated 5 September 2006. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: 1. Construction of a database of chemical composition of PM10 particles; 2. Development of a chemical model for the creation of secondary particles; 3. Application and verification of this chemical model in the Czech Republic; 4. Exchange of experience and publicity of the project results. The Project Promoter is The Czech Hydrometeorological Institute (CHMI). The application is submitted within a partnership between CHMI (responsible for activities 3 and 4), the Institute of Chemical Process Fundamentals of the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic (responsible for activity 1) and The Norwegian Institute for Air Research (responsible for activity 2). The Project Promoter shall provide at least 16.1 % of the estimated eligible project cost.
