Description
The purpose of the Project is to develop a Geographical Information System (GIS) database for the Ruse municipality and a digital map of city underground infrastructure of the city of Ruse, with the overall objective of strengthening the administrative capacities of the Ruse municipality. Reference is made to the application dated 25 April 2008, and to any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - Geodetical prospect drilling and development of geodetical database of city undergrounds; - underground scanning of the old city centre; - development of Geographical Information System (GIS) database and digital map of city underground infrastructure; - purchase of equipment and GIS software, including licenses; - training of municipal experts including local study visits; and - management, tender procedures, financial audits and publicity. The Project Promoter is the Municipality of Ruse. The Focal Point shall ensure that the Ministry of Finance provides at least 15.04 percent of the estimated eligible Project cost.
