Description
The purpose of the project is to strengthen the administrative capacity of the National Focal Point, Paying Authority, Implementing Agency and Audit Authority, with the overall objective of ensuring the proper and efficient implementation and management of the EEA Financial Mechanism in Bulgaria. Reference is made to the application dated 10 December 2007 and any subsequent correspondence with the Focal Point. The completed Project shall include the following activities and results: - information and promotion activities; - assessment and selection of project proposals; - organisation and preparation of meetings - semi-annual meetings and other meetings with representatives of the EEA EFTA states, meetings of the Monitoring Committee, as well as organisation and participation in training sessions and workshops; - on-the-spot checks and audits; and - management of financial flows and tendering. The Project Promoter is the Ministry of Finance. The Ministry of Finance shall provide at least 15 percent of the estimated eligible project cost.
