Marking a watershed between the previous and current funding periods, the past year has been a busy one. In the annual report we provide a snapshot of the Grants in each sector and country. These are testing times. The social, economic and political upheavals sparked by the economic and financial crisis continue to hit Europe hard. The downturn has wiped out much of the growth and progress made by our beneficiary countries in the years leading up to 2008. Through the EEA and Norway Grants, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway demonstrate their commitment to helping to reduce economic and social disparities in Europe and to strengthening cooperation with the beneficiary countries.

The annual report gives you an insight in the breadth and depth of this cooperation, which also involves international organisations, Transparency International and the Council of Europe. You can also read more about the opportunities offered in each of the sectors covered by the Grants and the key priorities country-by-country.
