Cyprus announces open call

On 25 August 2006, Cyprus launched their first open call making over 2.5 million euros available for individual project applications under the EEA Grants established by Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway. The deadline for the receipt of applications is 15 January 2007.

Proposals for funding must be within the priority sectors of environment, sustainable development, cultural heritage, human resources, health and childcare, schengen acquis, and cross-border activities. Academic research within the priority areas will not be prioritised in this call for proposals.

In total, the EEA Financial Mechanism and the Norwegian Financial Mechanism will make available a gross amount of 4.7 million euros to projects in the Cyprus over the 2004-2009 period.
