How Portugal just kicked off 48 projects through the Active Citizens Fund
12.02.2019Over the next three years, no less than 48 projects are set to receive up to €3,5M through the Portuguese Active Citizens Fund. The funding will go to projects focusing on civic participation and human rights awareness, as well as projects dealing with the empowerment of vulnerable groups, such as youth at risk, young people with disabilities, children living with cancer, victims of domestic violence, migrants and refugees.

But hopefully, a lot can be done about it. This week, the largest, loudest and most important climate gathering held since Paris is taking place in Poland. It's called COP24, and it's about finding solutions to one of our times most pressing challenges: our future.

Democracy as we know it clearly needs to be awaken - and what better way than a good old classic democratic debate to bring it (back) to life?
