Civic activities, deepening democracy and participation are unthinkable without continuous information and networking of key players in this process - citizens, their organizations and communities. Just that the civil society in Slovakia is as it were on the halfway, it provides a good opportunity to mediate its experience from this developmental stage to civic organizations in Ukraine, which are generally less developed. Mutual contacts and cooperation will be a benefit for citizens from both sides of the border. Strengthening the capacity of civil organizations and partnerships and the capacity of media organizations. Summary of project results
We wanted to help with our project, in particular by building partnerships between cities, businesses, civic organizations and other institutions, exchanging experience and information at conferences and workshops, and promoting both regional and national media. The mission was to show the potential and good starting points, to support the atmosphere of mutually beneficial cooperation and to provide information support for cooperation. The results of the project by quantity and quality have met beyond the original intentions, and several established partnerships and cooperation have long-term potential. The key is that we have managed to find very important and active partners and allies for the realization of the project and the sustainability of its effects. They were self-governments in both countries, the cities of Košice, Prešov, Svidník and others, on the Ukrainian side of Uzhhorod, Rachov, Novodnestrovsk ... It was important to establish close cooperation with the International Chamber of Commerce / ICC / Ukraine, we helped him in contact with our SOPK the establishment of the representation of the ICC of Ukraine in Slovakia - which has become very important for the development of trade and economic relations. It was essential to establish cooperation with FEMAN in organizing the Days of Ukraine, which could be played not only in Košice. To promote good examples of cooperation and exchange of information, it was very important to get long-term cooperation with the media and journalist organizations in both countries. The main activities were jointly prepared annexes and sections and conferences and workshops. Therefore, published annexes and sections in national and regional media, as well as conferences and workshops in Košice, Prešov and Uzhhorod, should be mentioned as the main outputs. The project counted on the creation of a single web site that was created with the involvement of 7 media - fact 10, with the creation of 40 attachments and sections - fact 41, with the cost of attachments and sections of 30 000 copies - fact 30 000 ex., With 5 conferences - fact 5, with 8 workshops - fact 11, with 450 participants in educational events - fact 840. The baseline values are in all cases 0 resp. an unknown value, because the cross-cutting, international educational events have not been done so far and the media do not pay attention to the systematic and long-term Slovak-Ukrainian cooperation - especially at the regional level.
