Description

The aim of the project is to improve the cross-border flow of information about border regions of Ukraine and Slovakia (Transcarpathia and Košice Region) through an innovative presentation of the common cultural heritage focused primarily on children. The two target regions (Košice Region and Transcarpathia) have a significant but not yet sufficiently exploited potential for tourism development. One of the reasons is the lack of information about the attractions of both regions among the residents within the region as well as beyond the region. The effect of the post-war order and artificial, in several cases violent breakage of any bonds, is the remaining low level of awareness of inhabitants about their neighbouring region despite almost a thousand years of common history, when both regions were part of one country. Low level of local patriotism is present in both regions especially among children and young generation. Specific objectives: 1. Presentation of the common cultural heritage innovative way focused primarily on child viewers. 2. Improvement of a cross-border flow of information and awareness raising. Target groups: children and families with children, residents of border regions on both sides of the border, residents outside the border regions on both sides of the border, visitors of border regions
