Summary of project results

There was interest from the teachers of Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava and University College of Southeast Norway to strengthen relationships and cooperation in the field of creativity and common presentation of arts for a long time. The platform where the arts and crafts are connected proved to be a useful form of communication and enrichment of both participants.During the realization of the project, 5 workshops were organized on different themes and the result of the cooperation was two exhibitions which presented the works of students and academics. 5 Slovak academics attended the Vinterfestival in Rauland, which included 2 lectures by Slovak pedagogues, a bobbin workshop and an exhibition of their works. 1 Slovak PhD student has completed a monthly study stay at a partner organization. 4 Norwegian academics visited Slovakia, where they delivered 2 lectures and led 3 workshops for Slovak and 8 Norwegian students. Two administrative staff, with the aim of sharing experience and good practice, also attended the visit of the partner institution.Another output of the project is catalogue, documenting all activities that took place in the project. The catalog will serve as a representative material for both schools.

Summary of bilateral results

Donor project partner was equal partner involved in all project activities. The platform for the exchange of professional skills of teachers was created by the reciprocal cooperation. The students have become beneficiaries of the old skills and could practice their language skills. The main culmination of the project was the exhibition at the Knust Museum Knut Skinnarland in Norway, which was attended by 8 Slovak students. Each student presented at the exhibition his/her work, created during the workshops and during the semester after the workshops. The results of the project are reflected in students' interest in their own history. Students, who present future generation, will be able to keep old crafts alive, mediate it to their future generations and develop them with new technologies.
