Summary of project results

Upper Nitra river-basin is an area with specific climatic conditions and there is a need to treat this area as area with significant flood risk as well as dryness period. The opportunity to use financial means enabled us to implement projects in this area in those places which have been selected in compliance with conditions set in the request submission appeal. The main aim of the project – amount of water held in the terrain exceeded the planned level set in the request application form. Within the scope of our project “ Upper Nitra river-basin – flood prevention and dryness measures”, 11 construction units were built in cooperation with the partner town of Novaky. We have achieved the main indicator of the project – amount of water held in the terrain. 11 out of originally planned 13 construction units were implemented (10 units SVP, sp. OZ Piestany and 1 unit the town of Novaky). Despite this, we exceeded the main indicator of the project – Amount of water held in the terrain – we achieved 3.379.426 m3  from originally planned amount of 1.218.090 m3  .
