University “Dunarea de Jos” of Galati (UGAL) continuously aims at increasing the number and quality of the mobilities carried out by students and academic staff to European countries to become more knowledgeable about the different educational systems, adjusting and improving its own system. Within the project financed by the EEA mechanism, UGAL aims to perform mobilities with higher education institutions from Norway. Performing mobilities in the frame of EEA mechanism, students and staff from both countries will have a contribution to improving their skills and knowledge and their own education system. Exchanging students and staff between donor partner and UGAL, is a direct opportunity to get more knowledgeable about the different educational systems, adjusting and improving its own system. The target beneficiary of mobilities, within the project financed by the EEA mechanism, are the students and staff from both donor partner and UGAL. The donor partner, Volda University College, and the partner, UGAL, aims to perform mobilities on the partnership basis, ensuring equal chances to all candidates and free access to all facilities. By this project, the promotion of the European dimension in the higher education system is ensured, mainly by emphasizing the cooperation with higher education institutions from Norway.
Summary of project results
The mobility project was need to give the opportunity to students and staff from the University “Dunarea de Jos”of Galati to carry out mobility within a EEA country to increase the level of knowledge acquired by students, to increase the quality of education process and to increase the quality of activity within university services. The gained results will lead to improving of general performance of students and staff and to enlarge the international and European cooperation of the university. The accomplished results were disseminated within didactical activity as well as within formal and informal meetings with the colleagues from the department and faculty. The outcome of the project consisted of 4 outgoing mobilities (1 student mobility for studies and 3 training mobilities). For the accomplished study mobility, the academic and personal (linguistics and intercultural skills) are highly appreciated. It has been ensured the academic recognition of the study carried out abroad. The accomplished mobility will help the student to integrate easier in the labor market. For the accomplished training mobilities, the obtained results led to the increase of teaching experience in the field of foreign languages and to the strengthen of cooperation between involved departments.
Summary of bilateral results
The gained results will lead to improving of general performance of students and staff and to enlarge the international and European cooperation of the university. The partnership has led to the strengthening of cooperation between the involved universities, to build up modern curricula in the field of foreign language, to expertise exchange and to the possibility to develop some common projects. The outcome of the project consisted of 4 outgoing mobilities (1 student mobility for studies and 3 training mobilities). The general impact of the EEA program is appreciated as being positive and at a high level by the results of accomplished mobilities.
