Description

The proposed project contributes to the goal of promoting Romanian literature in the Republic of Moldova, more specifically in Bălți Municipality. The general objective of the project is strengthening and promoting cross-border cultural dialogue by extending the International Festival of Literature and Translation from Iași to the Balti Municipality in the Republic of Moldova. The specific objectives are increasing the mobility of two authors and their works by allowing them to attend literary events in the Republic of Moldova; promoting the literary works of the two authors by organizing public lectures and public debates in Bălți Municipality; promoting cross-border cultural dialogue by inviting a Romanian author and a representative author for one of the ethnic minorities from Bălți Municipality; promoting cultural diversity by presenting a work of Romanian literature and a work of the literature belonging to one of the ethnic minorities from Bălți Municipality; and ensuring public access to literature and encouraging the participation of ethnic minorities at the public lectures and debates.

Summary of project results

NOT APPLICABLE The PP gave up to the projects implementation, because their project represent the extension in Balti of the International Literature Festival from Iasi (FILIT Iasi) . This festival (FILIT Iasi) has been cancelled, and consequently their project has not reason anymore. The PP didn't spend any money from the awarded grant.
