Description

365 Sinaia is an album designed as a current and modern product to promote local heritage and culture, complex and impact. It intends, through photographs of the highest quality, to facilitate an incursion palpable as the city's cultural life. An incursion otherwise impossible in reality for a regular tourist. This is because the innovative element of novelty of the project will consist of four seasons under lens that we look Sinaia. The overall objective is to create a photo album that provides a single, more comprehensive representation of tangible and intangible heritage of Sinaia for the promotion, revitalization and preservation of it. After printing the album will be distributed, for free of charge, to Museum Peles, Pelisor, Sinaia Casino, G. Enescu Memorial House Sinaia Town Hall, artists, professionals, tourists invited to various events. This project approaches three major themes. The first theme is cultural and artistic events in which photos will show the variety of the cultural life from Sinaia. They will illustrate moments from the George Enescu International Music Festival, the International Classical Guitar Festival, the Theatre and Oratory Festival and other important cultural events, but also from traditional occasions like Easter, Christmas and other celebrating moments. The second theme is old buildings and architectural monuments. Sinaia has over 90 natural and architectural monuments and buildings (castles, villas, mansions) listed in the National Heritage List (Class A and B). The photos will capture, in panoramic and detail view, the architectural spectacle of Sinaia, in all seasons. The traditional mountain architecture, specific for this area, will not be ignored. The third theme of the project is landscapes. Sinaia is well known for its beautiful landscapes, mountains, valleys, for its rich fauna and flora. The third theme will try to illustrate the natural heritage of this area but also moments from simple day to day life.

Summary of project results

The project was needed in order to improve and diversify the way Sinaia is culturally promoted, one of the main tourism destination on Prahova Valley, Romania. The main product of the project, a photo album, is sustainable by itself. The distribution already made, to individuals in position which can facilitate the circulation of information is a good way for sustainability. The second main result of the project, the website, is comprehensive and accessible worldwide for a long time forward The project objective was the realisation of a photographic album, which offers an unique and comprehensive representation of tangible and intangible heritage in Sinaia, with the aim of promotion, revival and preservation of it.
