Description

The family should be a safe environment for the child. However, some parents do not know or cannot fulfill this requirement without support. Research shows that 34% of young people aged 11-17 report that they have been victims of at least one form of abuse/violence from adults. The "Blue Cards" procedure aimed at counteracting domestic violence is applied at the level of intervention, when there is already violence in the family. However, also an early intervention approach should be applied, especially towards families with young children. The target groups of the project are parents and professionals. The aim of the project is to increase parental skills of the parents and to enhance interdisciplinary cooperation and engagement of health services, educational services and welfare services in early prevention and support to parents. The activities include, among others, developing educational materials for parents, workshops on parenting skills and training and supervision for professionals.
