Description

Market research indicates that in about six years there will be increased need for resources in the service sector, transport and distribution, consulting, personal services, hotel and restaurant trade. This general trend assumes an increased of demand for „soft" competencies as well. The response for this trend should be a preparation of the innovative educational programmes developed with the cooperation and participation of future employers. The objective of the program is to increase the didactic and scientific potential and competitiveness of UWM in Olsztyn by convention of major "Analysis and creating trends” Foreseen project results are: research social report in the field of the demand at the major; documentation of studies of first degrees and postgraduate studies; publication; website design and majors; a conference on "Information, trends, design '. The the project will strenghten the University's compentencies in the field of interdisciplinary education and cooperation with the social and economic environment.

Summary of project results

The objectives of the project was to strengthen the didactic potential of the University in the area of interdisciplinary education and cooperation with the socioeconomic environment, by conducting research on the demand for graduates of a new field of study and promotion of the prepared educational offer. The study was conducted among high school students, university students and enterprises. Results: - Documentation of 1st degree studies (recruitment for the academic year 2016/2017) and postgraduate studies, - conducted surveys, preparation of a report and printing the results of the surveys, extended for additional information, in the form of book publication, - publication "Analysis and create trends. Design and Research" (with the given ISBN number), - Website of the project (Polish and English versions) – it will be then changed in to the page of the field of study, - conference summarizing the project entitled: Information-trendy-design, which was held on 10.12.2015. Additional results: - the certificate "Studies of the future" on the field of study "Trend Watching and Analysis", - working seminar for project developers/authors - workshop “Design Thinking”, which took place on 07.09.2015, - purchase of books for students, which were conveyed to the University Library, - PR results: (1) printing leaflets of the studies and postgraduate studies, (2) preparation of information and promotion materials for conference participants, (3) insert to Wiadomości Uniwersyteckie, (4) information boards, roll-ups, promotion banners, stickers with QR code, promotional t-shirts, office supplies for meetings with potential stakeholders.
