Summary of project results

The main context of the project was the fact that the Polish economy is not innovative enough in comparison to other EU countries. Thus there is an urgent need to educate young people in the field of innovation management, especially focusing on environmental aspects of business activities. At the same time, there is a need to organize study programmes (at bachelor and the master level) to attract foreign students. The main objective of the project was to prepare and initiate the English speaking master study programme “Innovation Management”. That goal was fully achieved, with 44 students recruited for the programme in the current academic year (a minimum recruitment of 20 was planned). of these 44, 30 completed the first semester. When the project ended (May 2016) 42 people were registered for the “Innovation Management” programme starting in the next academic year. The project team produced the “Innovation Management” study programme based on 34 syllabi and a set of teaching materials. 44 students were recruited and the project team delivered the lectures to the first year students, thus improving their skills. The project team organized also the infrastructure for the teaching process – 2 labs: ShopLab and ConsumerLab and improved the skills of the staff through participation in conferences and workshops. The project idea was promoted and information disseminated during Promotion Day, during the conference: “Innovation Management: Research and Educational Aspects” and through two monographs: “Innovation Management: Research Aspects” and “Innovation Management: Educational Aspects”. The ShopLab is larger and better equipped than initially foreseen (thanks to the sponsoring contract – the source of co-financing). The project also produced teaching materials that were not planned for when the project started out. The conference “Innovation Management” gathered a significant number of participants and several papers and articles were prepared. The ConsumerLab and eye-tracker leased for project purposes are shown in the FSS movie (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=16lpxyeySkI - fragment 08:24-08:46).
