The festival’s Nordic films in unconstrained manner often address live problematic situations, important to not only children, but to society in general. Themes like social inequality, bullying, violence in family, intolerance towards minorities as well as problems of addiction are all found and explained comprehensibly for children in Nordic films. One of the most important gains of this project was popularizing Latvian cinema, expanding its recognition in the Nordic countries as well as attraction of a new audience and a promotion of an inter-cultural dialogue. The close collaboration of the project promoter and partner helped to achieve high quality in the project’s events.
