Description

Aim of the project – to implement youth-friendly health care services (YFHCS) provision model, which will encourage young people to choose a healthier lifestyle and taking advantage of Norway's best practices, to provide them with high-quality, accessible and meet their needs services. The introduction of YFHCS provision model will improve health care services – services must be affordable or free, fast, convenient registration or without registration, short waiting time from registration till the service provision; health care services to meet each young person's health and the development of physical, social and psychological needs; health care services are provided by competent personnel and in a safe and needs of young people in an environment. Activities which are foreseen in the Project: 1) establishing and equipping YFHCS coordinating center in premises of Primary health care centre (to which functions of the YFHCS coordinating center are commissioned), which will carry out YFHCS coordinating, case management, consultation functions; 2) administrating the Youth Health Portal at municipal level; 3) adapting and applying 4 Algorithms (sets of rules how to behave in different situations solving problems) in priority areas of the YFHCS provision at municipal level; 4) developing bilateral cooperation and building capacity of key YFHCS providers: 1 visit for sharing good practices between Lithuania and Norway; 5) organizing 10 trainings for improvement of practical skills of young people to provide first-aid; 6) establishing 9 publicly available free exercise machines, 1 tennis table and 1 beach volleyball court. During the Project applicant with partners will collaborate with Drangedal commune, which doesn't have official status of partner, but representatives of cummune will actively participate in the project.

Summary of project results

During the Project it was expected to implement youth-friendly health care services (hereinafter – YFHCS) provision model, which will encourage young people to choose a healthier lifestyle and taking advantage of Norway's best practices, to provide them with high-quality, accessible and meet their needs services. These activities were implemented: •YFHCS coordinating center in Pasvalys district municipality Primary health care centre premises was established; •YFHCS coordinating and case management function was introducted and supported; •4 Algorithms in priority areas of the YFHCS provision were adapted and applied at the municipal level; •Youth health portal at municipal level was been administered; •e-consultations via the Youth health portal were provided; •various trainings including first aid training for youth were organized; •free online access points via the Youth health portal and other websites of institutions providing health care or health improvement services were created; •publicly available free exercise machines in public space were established. All planned results were achieved.
