Description

Alytus has currently 15 pre-school institutions in operation, which carries out pre-school programs and 16 schools, which carry out primary, elementary and secondary education programs. All schools and pre-school education institutions have public health rooms. Alytus city schools and pre-school education institutions health rooms are in need of infrastructure and equipment modernization, which would allow the development of health promotion and disease prevention in communities, the protection and improvement of children's and young people's physical and mental health, to monitor changes in public health, community engagement in health promotion activities. Currently school and pre-school rooms of public health services are incomplete and ineffective. In order to solve these problems it is necessary to modernize health rooms in schools and pre-school institutions and in that way develop the public health service network, increasing the availability of health services to a wider range and better quality services. The object of the project is the modernization of the health rooms in schools and pre-school education institutions to improve public health care services and quality. Target group: Alytus city school students, pre-school students, their family members, and employees. The implementation of the project will benefit Alytus city school students and pre-school students, their family members will use health rooms more diversely, and a higher quality of public health care services will be provided.

Summary of project results

Alytus has currently operating 13 pre-school institutions, which carries out pre-school programs, and 17 schools, which carries out primary, elementary and secondary education programs. All schools and pre-school education institutions have the public health rooms, which were in need of infrastructure and equipment modernization in order to ensure the development of health promotion and disease prevention in communities, the protection and improvement of children's and young people's physical and mental health, monitor changes in public health, community engagement in health promotion activities. Before the project, rooms of public healthcare services in schools and pre-schools were incomplete and ineffective. The aim of the project was the modernization of the healthcare rooms in schools and pre-school education institutions in order to improve public healthcare services and quality. After the project 16 healthcare rooms in schools and 15 healthcare rooms in pre-schools were modernized, equipped with new, modern furniture, tools and necessary equipment to keep target group interested during various activities.
