Description
This projects targets children who attend pre-school education institutions and schools, their parents, and the other members of the communities of these institutions. The completion of the project implementation will entail a general rehabilitation of six health care rooms in pre-school education institutions and three health care rooms in school buildings. Furthermore, the health care rooms of 29 education institutions will be equipped with high quality equipment and innovative working tools necessary for the provision of health care services. Informative measures will allow for schoolchildren to better understand the negative effects of general bad habits, such as an unhealthy diet and inactivity. This awareness will help them understand the benefits of a healthy lifestyle. The project implementation will significantly improve the quality of public health care service provision in educational institutions.
Summary of project results
Nine health cabinets of the education institutions (six health cabinets of preschool education institutions and three health cabinets of schools) were repaired. Purchase of furniture and other means for the health cabinets. Twenty nine health cabinets were supplied with high quality equipment, necessary for the provision of public health care services, as well as innovative means of work. During the implementation of the project the improved technical and technological base of health cabinets allow to innovatively render the knowledge of healthy lifestyle for the children and students studying both in urban and rural territory of the municipality, their parents and other members of the communities of the education institutions. The specialists of public health care will have conditions to increase the health literacy of the community of the education institutions by organizing the cycles of health activities during which special attention will be given to the promotion of healthy nutrition and physical activity, strengthening of psychical health and prevention of addictions. This will contribute to decreasing the cases of risk behaviour, will help maintaining and strengthening health and will ensure the socially full-fledged life and will reduce economic damage, suffered when eliminating the consequences of the diseases. Therefore the implemented project will contribute to the reduction of both social and economic differences.
