Description
The goal of the project is to enhance the quality of services provided for the children of risk group in Visaginas municipality. The project will satisfy most needs of the children of risk groups. A new service will be started - "family reinforcement". All of this would allow for the positive socialization of the children and the decrease of social deprivation. Recipients of the service are children from risk groups: children under 18 years old who are homeless and begging, do not attend school or they have behaviour problems in school, who abuse alcohol, narcotic psychotropic and toxic substances, gambling, inclined in criminal activities, victims of psychological, physical or sexual violence or family violence. In the case of the fulfilment of the project all needed conditions for drawing children off negative social environments will be created in Visaginas municipality: will be created opportunity for children to be raised in their families, social service will be provided, inadequate biosocial functions of the persons will be restored, proper social connection with community will be restored, and social alienation will be avoided.
Summary of project results
The goal of the project was to enhance the quality of sevices provided for the children of risk group at Visaginas municipality. Thats why as a result of the project Visaginas children’s day center was established. The target group of the project is the children from social risk groups: children under 18 years old who do not attend school or they have behavior problems in school, who abuse alcohol, narcotic psychotropic and toxic substances, gambling, are inclined in criminal activities, are victims of psychological, physical or sexual violence or family violence. Visaginas children’s day center has started a new service - "family reinforcement". The project allowed the positive socialization of the children and the decrease of social deprivation. Children of risk groups now have a safe and open space in Visaginas where they can spend their time purposefully, acquire social skills, participate in social and advisory programs, as well as gain personal development competencies. Social risk families also can use the services of children’s day center and thus ensure the conditions allowing the formation of young person’s personality and their successful integration into society life. It is planned that at least 60 Visaginas municipality children will attend the Children's Day Center. Project activities will contribute to the diversification and quality of services and activities provided, and new services will be created.
