Description
The project aim is to ensure comprehensive services to children and families by strengthening the children's day centre and family support network in Vilnius, Alytus and Pivasiunai and to promote cooperation with the local government and community. The objectives of the project are: to enhance the material base of children's day centre "Family" by constructing a children's day centre in Pivasiunai, by modernizing the children day centre in Alytus and Vilnius, by providing comprehensive services for the child and family through training staff in case management and therapeutic work methods, and by encouraging cooperation in providing services for children and families between local communities, the Vilnius local government, Alytus city and Alytus region and cities in the area. The expected project results are the establishment of an educational and day care service for at least 75 children and comprehensive social services to families of three children in day care centres and the enhancement of inter-institutional cooperation with the cities of Vilnius and Alytus, Alytus district municipal representatives and local communities.
Summary of project results
The project’s “Complex services assured for children and families through the strengthening and development of the Children Day Centres network “Family Support”” aim was to ensure comprehensive services to children and families by strengthening the children's day centres and family support network in Vilnius, Alytus and Pivasiunai. The project promoter seeked to promote cooperation with the local government and community. During the project the material base of children's day centre "Family" by constructing a children's day centre in Pivasiunai, by modernizing the children day centre in Alytus and Vilnius was enhanced. Comprehensive services for the child and family through training staff in case management and therapeutic work methods were provided and cooperation in providing services for children and families between local communities, the Vilnius local government, Alytus city and Alytus region and cities in the area were encouraged. The establishment of an educational and day care service for at least 75 children and comprehensive social services to families of three children in day care centres and the enhancement of inter-institutional cooperation with the cities of Vilnius and Alytus, Alytus district municipal representatives and local communities was the successfully achieved project result.
