Description

This project supports immigrant women that are mothers and/or pregnant, focusing in particular on those who are single parents or finding themselves in difficult family circumstances. The project provides support for 125 women from 3 different autonomous communities, of which 20% will join the the labor market as a result of the project. The project has 475 indirect beneficiaries, including relatives, enterprises, public administrations and private entities.The project facilitates access to training, by putting into practice effective, efficient and flexible methodologies which make it easier to reconcile their work, family and personal lives. Support services will be provided in parallel to the training, to assist the women in the process of entering into employment. Platforms for meetings and interaction will be established to help the women build networks, both face to face and through ICT technologies.

Summary of project results

This project has supported immigrant women who are mothers and/or pregnant, and are alone or belong to broken families. The project has facilitated the access to training by flexible methodologies which make it easier to reconcile their working, family and personal lives. Services, complementary to the training, has been reinforced and implemented to support and boost up the measures which will facilitate the job placement of the single mothers. The enterpreneurs have been conciencioused through a awareness raising and encounter and interaction has been created between them and the women. At the end of the project, 204 women from 3 different autonomous communities have participated in the project, improving their employability. 25% have entered the labor market. 650 Entrepreneurs and their empleyees have been conciencioused. New longtime partnership between made between AICA and Fundación Madrina. Fundacion Madrina who has got money to fund the project one more year.
